Camping

WEEEEEEEEEE.............What a dork but I love him.

Finally, our first camping trip of the year. It was only about 45 min from our house. We wen t up past pineview to the South Fork campground. They had really nice spots and there was a river right by us. We went with Jamie,Mike, Lonnie and Angela. The kids had tons of fun playing around. We only stayed one night but it was nice to get away for a bit. Kevin was playing monster trucks around the fire pit. Noah got that Nerf gun with his birthday money, he had a hard time deciding what to but, he told me there was just way to many cool toys.

Daniel's Birthday

Noah, Kristopher and Kevin's best friends son, Daniel (too bad Kris wasn't looking that would have been a great picture). We went to Daniel's birthday party last Saturday,he turned 1. It's always fun to visit Brigham, and we really should more often. We had a chance to visit Karolyn's and Kristen's grave and left some flowers. Mike and Meggan had everyone bring something to put in a time capsule for Daniel to open when he turns 18. There were baseball cards, Tiger Woods bobble heads, transformers, the Wall Street Journal, and lots more stuff. As always we caught up with all of Mike's family.Dennis and Laura are busy at basketball games for Riley and Savannah works at Maddox and brings home rolls..... yummy. Mack and Christy are having fun with there 3 teenager girls and Cole, who just turned 6,he's taller than Noah. Jason and Michelle are busy with Micah who will be 3 this September. Mike still works at the Box Elder Sheriffs office and Megan takes care of Daniel and works at J&D's.

Happy Birthday Noah!

Happy Birthday! 7 years old I can't believe how time has flown by. Noah got to have a couple days of celebrating. Wednesday, his real birthday me, Noah and Kristopher went to Chuck-a-Rama for dinner. That's what he picked, I really thought he was going to do Cafe Rio or Robintinos, but nope Chuck-a-Rama, he likes it cause it's the place you can get your own food.....Kevin works nights so that's why he didn't go. Then Friday night we had a BBQ with everyone. All the kids had lots of fun. Noah has lots of new transformers to play with, lots of new books to read, and the best news of all our new grill that Kevin put together worked!

Lagoon, Transmissions and Fun, Oh my!

We made our annual trip to Lagoon this weekend. I think I can only handle one trip to Lagoon a year. Kevin's work sponser's a free day so that's why we go, it's free, but for some reason we ended up spending about $80 for our "free" trip to Lagoon. It seemed like it was going to be a good day so we set off about 10am, Noah was ready to ride rides and Kristopher was just excited because Noah was. Once we got inside the gates it started to cloud up, it was cold and also started to rain a bit. Well we didn't really think of bringing sweatshirts for the boys so we ended up buying them ($23 dollars a peice). Then I really didn't want to haul around a cooler( it seems every other year we've had a bigger stroller it pyle crap in) so we decided to buy lunch at Arby's, $30 dollars later we were all full. Lesson learned this year: Be prepared for anything, bring lunch and if all else fails we live in freaking Bouniful, we should have just drove home and gone back! All in all the boys had fun. Kristopher enjoyed every ride, except for maybe rattlesnake rapids. After it warmed up(which it ended up being a great day) we decided to try and not get wet and go on rattle snake rapids, well Kristopher ended being the most wet and all he said when we got off was "i'm cold." I felt really bad, good thing we had the sweatshirt! Noah rode just about everything except for the Colosus and Wicked, me and him will do it next year, or he said he'd do it when he was 32! Kevin is not much of a rider so him and Kris hung out alot but they left at about 5pm and me and Noah stayed and rode some more until about 9pm. Fun day.

Well the day after Lagoon (Sunday) the Transmission decided to crap out on us in the Blazer, for the second time, in three years...... happy times. So I don't think we will be going on an extended vacation this year, maybe a few weekend camping trips but that's about it. We were going to find a way to visit Grandma and Grandpa Romanosky in Michigan, most likely we were going to drive but I don't think that will happen this year. I'm really trying not to freak out about it, s*&% happens and you've got to roll with the punches. Everything will be OK, at least that's what I keep trying to tell myself.

I did it!

After viewing everyone elses blogs I decided that it would be a good idea to finally set one up of my own. Hopefully it will help my out of state/country family keep up on whats going on in our lives. So right now not much. May was a pretty busy month with Hollie and Mike coming, Kellie getting married and Noah getting out of school. It also seemed like we've had MILLIONS of birthday's in the past few months.
We had so much fun when Hollie and Mike were here. All of the kids seemed to have a good time together even with the occasional breakdown, fight and just getting tired of each other while thier dads played 27 holes of golf one day! While the women (hollie) slaved away making wedding cakes (about 12-14 I think). Taylor and Kristopher were an interesting pair. I think it's 2 when they say that kids of that age don't play together well, it's true for those 2, friends one minute, fighting the next. They are in England now and we are saving money to go, even if it's just me I'm going to England!
Kellie and Richard's wedding was great. Everything turned out beautiful. Hopefully they had fun too.
Noah just got out of school which he's really excited about. Our daycare has a summer camp that he's going to go to 3 days a weeks so he doesn't just sit at home all day and play Play Station and watch T.V. So far he likes it. Kristopher just plays all day with Kevin until he goes to daycare around 2:30. He's into Thomas the Train, I found Noah's old one's in the basement one day, he played with them for a couple hours. He also likes anything that Noah likes; transformers, hulk, spiderman, cars, and dinosaurs.
Me and Kevin are just working. Kevin will get to sleep in a little longer in the mornings now that Noah doesn't have to be at school at 8:30, so that will be nice for him. So now he can get 5-6 hours of continuous sleep after he gets home from work @ 3-4am. I don't have much going on at work right now, just the same old stuff: hiring, training, managing, firing, and being annoyed on a daily basis by people who just don't seem to get it.
All in all things are good. Last weekend we went to the rec center. The boys had so much fun swimming. Kristopher's favorite part was going down the water slide with Kevin. I'm not talking a small one, it was the big one. I think we were there for about three hours and they didn't stop once. I got burned, but it was relaxing just laying in the sun.
We are looking foward to Lagoon this weekend for Kevins company summer party, Noah is WAY excited. I think we may also go up to Brigham and visit Kevin's sister's, it will be 22 years on the 7th of his sister's passing, we always like to go up and do flowers or a windmill and clean off the grave since they don't really do a good job at the cemetary.
